Situated in the midst of a rich natural environment, the Odori district (Kanoji) boasts a number of beautiful terraced rice fields that have been selected among the Top 20 Terraced Rice Fields in Yamaguchi Prefecture. Approximately 100,000 shibazakura (moss pink) plants planted along the terraced rice fields bloom in red, white and pink in spring. When they are at their best, they attract many visitors.
