This steam locomotive was running between Mitajiri (Hofu City) and Hori (Tokuji in Yamaguchi City) operated by Boseki Tetsudo Railway Corporation from 1919 to 1963. The locomotive is 7.8 meters in length, 3.6 meters in height, 2.4 meters in width and 23.1 tons in weight manufactured by Germany Klaus, Inc. in 1894. In 1918, Boseki Tetsudo acquired this locomotive from Kawagoe Railway (current Seibu Railway) and used this locomotive keeping the former train car code "Car 2" numbered by Kawagoe Railway.The two passenger cars were manufactured at Hiraoka factory (Tokyo) in 1899 and Edamitsu Ironworks (Fukuoka) in 1918.
