Legend has it that Yuda-onsen was founded by a white fox about 800 years ago. Thus you can find various statues of white foxes everywhere. Yuta, the 8 meter(26feet) tall legendary fox, stands in front of Yuda-onsen Station. Try standing next to him and you will be surprised by how big he is. There is a footbath behind Yuta, where you can relax by soaking your feet and watch the steam train that runs regularly from spring to autumn pass by.
